Trucking division
Our vehicles are purposely selected and equipped to ensure the careful handling of our clients cargo. The Zamlinx fleet of trailers includes super links, taut liners, and tri-axle trailers, all of which are equipped with tarpaulins, straps and corner plates. We have excellent preventative maintenance strategies in order to be proactive on maintenance of our equipment.
Our total fleet consists of 62 x trucks with trailer combinations of flat deck trailers, trailers with sides, tautliners and containers – triaxle and superlinks all operating on the Zambian route.
Zamlinx handles all collections when required.
In addition all drivers are supplied with cell phones with sim cards for R.S.A., Zimbabwe and Zambia so that we can keep in constant contact along the entire route.
All our drivers have vast experience with consolidations, and full load cargo on the Zambian route. Most of these drivers have Hazardous chemical training and have their hazchem certificates.
All vehicles are registered with Environmental Council of Zambia for the transport of hazardous chemicals into Zambia.
Vehicles
- All Vehicles are serviced within their scheduled service kilometers incorporated into the Zamlinx Loading Schedule.
- Every vehicle is scheduled for a service 30 000 km from the previously scheduled service.
- The Operations Manager will designate where the vehicle’s will be serviced that are due for a service and on route so not much time will be lost during service period.
- Once a vehicle is serviced, the operational program will be updated for the next interval service time.
In Transit Insurance
In transit insurance is included in our rates schedule. Our insurance company is Versaflex, one of the leading maritime insurers in the industry. Insurance is only taken out by ourselves on your behalf on instruction from yourselves in writing.
